It may have been some time since a COVID-19 lockdown, but the Moyne Shire Council understands that the impact of restrictions, lockdowns, changing customer preferences and uncertainty from COVID-19 can still be affecting local businesses.

Moyne Shire’s Business Adaptation Service (BAS) enables eligible Moyne businesses affected by COVID-19 to access up to $1000 of free mentoring and professional services across nine key areas:

  • Financial Advice
  • Business Planning
  • Designing and Creating Websites
  • Marketing
  • Digital Business strategies and advice
  • Business Collaboration
  • COVID-19 safe plans
  • Succession planning
  • Information Technology.

The program opened in August 2022 and previous participants have found the consultants both knowledgeable and a “great fit for our business”. One business owner said that “I couldn’t have seen my business being very successful or sustainable without our BAS Consultant’s help”. And another remarked, “We are on the road to changing the structure of our business now and we can confidently do that now, thanks to this advice received”.

To be eligible, businesses must be owned and operated by applicants:

  • That have been impacted by COVID-19 and/or the pandemic’s flow-on effects;
  • Have an active ABN;
  • Operate a business located within the Moyne Shire Council;
  • Have access to either phone or video technology for a conference call; and
  • Agree to complete a short survey.

Further terms and conditions of the BAS can be viewed here.

Expressions of interest for the BAS will be open until 31st August 2023, unless the number of consultations funded by the Council is exhausted before this date.

Go to the Moyne Shire website to understand your eligibility and submit an expression of interest.
